About This Medford Township Roofing Crew

A small outfit working the large wooded lots of Burlington County, built around a step most roofers leave out: getting the finished roof inspected and the warranties registered.

The reason

Why the last step is the one we talk about

Everybody in this trade says the word warranty. Rather fewer finish the job by putting a finished roof through the manufacturer's own inspection and filing the registration, which is the only thing that turns the word into a document with your address on it. It adds a step and some paperwork at the end of a job that already feels finished, and it is the single most useful thing we do.

In practice

How a job runs here

Measured on the roof

Squares, pitch and plane count, taken up there. On the roofs out here that difference alone is often several hundred square feet.

Laid to the published pattern

Exposure, nail count and nail placement as the manufacturer's instructions specify, because that is precisely what the system warranty is conditional on.

Inspected, then registered

The finished roof goes through the manufacturer's inspection and both warranties are filed against the property. The documents come to you rather than sitting in a drawer here.

The same people throughout

Whoever measured the roof is on it when the work happens, which on a multi-plane roof matters more than it does on a bungalow.

What is behind the work

The two documents, plainly

A replacement here is finished with a 25 to 30 year workmanship warranty backed by the manufacturer, and with the GAF Golden Pledge Warranty covering the components as a system. The first covers how the roof was fitted, the second covers what it was fitted with. Both are registered against the property once the manufacturer has inspected the finished roof, and both documents are handed over rather than described.

The patch

Eight towns and no further

Medford Township, Medford Lakes, Shamong, Tabernacle, Southampton, Lumberton, Mount Laurel and Marlton. The patch is drawn around a housing type rather than a radius: big lots, long roofs and a lot of trees.
